A/C fan motor quit and boy has been hot here in FL. Dealer said the parts will be in next week. They're going to fix the cracked air cleaner box at the same time. Only 4300 miles, maybe I will get lucky and this will be it for awhile. Has anybody had the air cleaner condition indicator indicate to change the filter so soon. Did not look dirty. Wonder if it created enough suction to crack the airbox. Changed to K&N. No problem since, just waiting for the new box to come in.

JebDog... sorry to hear of the misfortune... sometimes driving with the windows down just doesn't cut the mustard! I use my air all the time.

I changed my filter to the K&N RE-0880 (Scotty System) at about 5000 miles... gave my stock airbox away. I like this system much better! I have read that some guys are sucking the filterminder down with the filter being clean, but I did not have that problem.

Thinking of 275s... . I had them for a while and loved them. Don't forget that if you start doing mods, you need to say... .

"I am my own warranty station . . I am my own warranty station. "

(I say it all the time!)

What 275's ?????

Hey Rob,

You don't think I could sneek those 275's in without anybody noticing. And that brings up another question. Will the 275's alone give me a slight boost , or do I need a fueling box? Don't want to be obvious or trash the transmission so soon. Have the 100,000 mile extended warranty and want to get my money back so I will let DC put at least one transmission in before I think about a VB or TC up grade.

Jeb... I am sure you could put the 275s in... they have been dynoed at about 40HP... can't remember the exact number. If you are really concerned about stealthness, www.dieseldynamics.com makes some performance injectors with the stock parts number on them. Although, if something major happened to your engine, I believe they could do a flow test and realize you had changed injectors!

With the auto, I would not do an injector change AND some type of fueling box... the transmission will not hold up to it. Injectors and a boost module is a nice upgrade. Many happy campers out there with that mod!

JebDog,

Where the heck is Whoville FL. some where in Alabama?

Just kidding but where is it?

I have read there is an over-boost code. I quess if a black box won't set it off than injectors should not either?

But injectors would add more fuel which = more boost. Is the added boost under the code warning specs?

The black box basically fools computer by going thru other components to increase fuel amount with bogus conditions?

Glad I don't have to worry about that but than again the 99 could use some more top end fuel. Seems to be breaking in slow I'll give it another 10 to 20 thousand to get to its top speed.

Yea Right!!!!!

Called first thing this morning, my a/c fan motor and air cleaner box are in. Service dude told me he could get me in Thursday sometime... ... . NOT !!! It's been hot! I told him your talking four screws and a plug for the fan motor, give me the parts and I will put it in. Well, guess what? He said he could get me in at 3:30 today. Never take the first answer. :D

shop at 4250

My 2001. 0 went to the shop at 4250 for a busted clockspring. The service dept wouldn't answer the phone, so I just went there. They were cool about it, fixed it that day, got my truck back and even called me that it was ready, and said they were sorry something broke so early. Amazing! Hope you get your truck back soon.

Yes but I din't realize it was produced in FLorida. It must been one of those years Florida actually had snow or

Whoville must be near MT Dora since it the highest place in Florida and it must of been white sand from the dunes(Mt Dora Dunes) the Grinch propelled his sled down to Whoville. ;) :D
