Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) .44 mag shift knob

There is a post over in product/development forum right now talking about the . 44 mag shift knob. I am wondering if any one has one of these knobs on NV4500 or 2nd gen trans case. I want to get one for each shifter in my truck, but the person selling them was not sure if they would fit my truck. he says they are tapped for 3rd gen trucks. any feedback about the threads on my shifter and t-case would be helpful. . thanks
