With a little help from my freinds W/M.

I was born and raised in Albany (I escaped in 1971) and my best freind still lives there. My plan is to go back for a visit in 2008. I will be driving hope to see a few TDR members while I'm there.

Bob

Yep another lowly mid 400hp run:mad:. I think the air to water aftercooler is holding me back. My numbers have gone down ever since removing the stock 93 intercooler and just running this aftercooler. I once made 450hp 920ftlbs with less fuel, less turbo and less other stuff. Back in July on the same dyno with mostly the same setup, I put down 424hp and about the same torque IIRC. So I was happy to at least getting back to where I was originally with the air to air intercooler. This leads to me to believe I have a few more horses available if I can condense and cool my air a little more efficiently.

On Saturday Josh ditched his 3800rpm spring and installed a 3200 spring, made some adjustments and put down around 422hp. Good job Josh. I wanted to look for you on Saturday to compare both your dyno sheets, but missed you.

are the numbers you guys are getting corrected?

i come from drag racing background and i know that i can run 7. 80's in the 1/4 one weekend and go back to same track the following weekend and it will only go 8. 0's. and this is with excellent track conditions on both occasions. different day usually means different numbers

how quick will that thing melt 5 lbs of ice?

don

Numbers are uncorrected. I melted 99% of 60lbs of ice in 3 dyno pulls.

uncorrected numbers can be all over the place, i take it you already know that. do you bring a weather station with you when you go to these events?

we put 2. 5 bags in my buddies car (that was supposed to be 50# above, not 5, lol) after they call us, RIGHT before we tow to the staging lanes - car does a good burn out (accross the starting line), backs up, stages, runs 8. 40's (on a 10" tire) and by the time he stops the water is steaming hot. his motor is 700 hp alum sm block tho, maybe that makes a difference?

would think your truck doing 3 pulls would be steaming hot too... although it didnt look like it took very long for that thing to pull thru whatever gear it was in

how much water is in it when you add the ice?

Or maybe they're corrected, I don't know. I start with 6 gallons of water in a 16 gallon sprayer tank. The temp, relative humidity, and something else is on the dyno sheet.

Bill-the numbers are corrected. If you compare the two dyno sheets the power came on at about the same time but the hp curve was much flater with the 3200gsk than the 3800gsk. It still had 300hp at 3500rpm.
