just wondering if you can get 425-450 horses out of a 180 pump with bolt on stuff, the set up below ran 353hp/640tq, (don't wan't to remove the plate),need more!, thanks Bob
A more aggressive plate and some special delivery valves would help. EDM injectors? Twins? Sending the pump to Piers to be stoooopified wouldn't hurt either. How much do you want? (Read: how big is your wallet?)
Joe, that set-up sounds just about right, does 0 plate mean no plate at all?, the reason I don't wan't more is the 30 something year old chevy frame is no where near as beefy as the dodges. Bob
No, it is the zero plate I designed and TST makes for me. It has the numeral zero on the top where other plates have 4, 5, 6, etc. Let me know if you need one.
You can get plenty out of a 180 pump. But I would skip the 0 plate and just take it to a good pump shop. They will recal it, and set the fuel and rpm where you want it. the right way... for the same money or pretty close.
The shop can calibrate all day but won't get enough rack travel without the right plate. That is, unless they adjust rack vs. plate position so far that driveability will suffer--and the engine probably won't idle.
Hey Donnelly, sounds like you need to find a different pump guy. Or are you a Bosch pump tech? Or just someone trying to sell fuel plates? Hmmmm... ...
Well, I don't know about a dynojet. We use an engine dyno. But if you are satisfied with your 3 digit numbers, keep using your pump guy and your 0 plate.
