here we go this is a pretty in depth conversion. if done right it makes the p pump conversion on the older trucks look like cake, but is very doable and i have no regrets. i redesigned the cover so that there is no clearance problem with the head/ intake. this is a billet gear housing not a reworked cast one. reworking a stock one is an option but not one i liked. this is basically a bolt on mod but it had a lot of details to deal with. i am working on a final price for the kit. a lot of the parts required are stock cummins parts that i modify for this. no problems yet with any part of the conversion. ask me some questions i will answer them, if i keep going this will be a mile long. or give me a call (937) 869-0519 9 to 5 eastern time is best or on weekends is ok also.

as far as dual cp3s you can get the preasure but still lacking rpm. i actually strated making a rail for this got most of the way done and quit for other projects. not a hard thing to do but still no rpm.

the bottom end seems to be holding up pretty good. i ran up there at 5400 a few times the bottom end liked it a lot more than the turbo that died. the bottom end in these cr engines are tougher than the older ones in my mind. the blocks seem more consistant and the girdle helps too. [/IMG]

Nice videos TSterner! BTW, what injectors are you using in there? are they out of a 24V?

Is there a larger Cummins engine that uses a similar version if the CP3 that will fit our engines?

there is a fair amount of fuel available from a modded dodge cp3, so a pump from a diff engine wont net very much and still no rpm yet.

TSterner Please tell us more about the parts involved for the conversion, cam? what head? What injectors? What about the electronics? If you can. . If you keep posting this stuff im going to break my kids piggy bank open and give you a call. .

I would pay good money to see the looks on my fellow pullers faces When I left the line spinning 5000+ RPM rolling out the smoke in my wimpy 3RD gen :--)

the cam is of your choice. depends on what year your truck is as to how much of a cam you can run without extra work. as every one knows the old 24v injectors fit right in there. the head is the stock one but has been worked on for the rpm change. if you try this without my gear housing it will require a diff. head or whacking up your stock one. tats why i made my cover the way i did. like i said anyone that has some questions just give me a call i am a terrible typier. ..

Problem with spinning 5000+ RPM is you aren't making near the Horsepower you are bewteen 3-4,000 RPM. I mean unless you rebuilt EVERYTHING from the oil plug to the dipstick tube to be like a Scheid motor. . It does sound pretty cool, and good job on that front cover

Id love to hear more too. My 2003 standard output, 5sp seems to pull hard all the way to the rev limiter with "hot" juice w/attitude. Only other mods are Afe cone filter, lost silencer ring and straight pipe for now.
