I'm having research fatigue!
This seems to be so hard to get a straight answer so I'll try to word it simply. I have a 92 12valve 46rh ( has the three wire connector people talk about so don't think it's the 518) 2wd. I have an old crew cab 4x4 w350 that I want to swap it all over to but would like to keep the overdrive auto . Is there a transfer case that will connect to that trans after I pull the tail shaft ? That's it ! I would like it to be married rather than divorced if possible. Thanks for any help. I was told by a person that a 241d transfer case would work from an 88-93 dodge truck ?

If you have a 3 wire connector it is a 47RH.

You will have to change the OD unit to a 4x4 OD unit to attach to a t-case.

A 241D is a 2nd gen case and will left hand drop where your 82 will need a right hand drop t-case and that be an NP-205.

A 241D is a 2nd gen case and will left hand drop...

The 88-93 gassers used a 241 right hand drop, that’s probably where his info is coming from.

But I still don’t think it will mate to the Cummins trans either way without some creativity.
