JohnE,

Did keep invoice. They said something about not being able to return electrical parts..... Anyhow. Trans is fixed and all is well. This is the first Dodge that i have ever owned and i found that taking out the valve body on the 47re is a better experience that any GM. I think that i like the whole 6 bolts and the entire valve body is on the bench. Very nice! Thanks for everyones help and good luck,Summit, with the repair.

just got back from dealer, had tech hook up DRB to check gov. pressure and soloniod cycle, took for a spin around the block. he showed me that theyre working correctly and that the transmission needs to come out!! should i have them replace the sensor anyways? or am i just doomed?

after diging through the owners manual in the glove box i found a sales reciept for a edge ez that the dealership sold the previous owner when he purchased the truck. now im thinking he got rid of the truck becuase of the transmission.

i think its bu!!I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER that my wife buys a truck at 36200mi and the transmission goes at 38,??? but unknowingly drove it till 39800mi and noone is willing to even help pay. sure makes a person feel good to go a couple thousand miles over warranty and have to spend a couple thousand to fix it.

open to suggestions :-{}

Summit,

Mine showed the same thing when they hooked it up also. I would spend the 130. 00 for the parts and try that first before i would spend the cash for the trans! I think that you will be happy when you replace them. let me know

UPDATE

Well finally took the wifes truck in today and had them replace the sensors (both) and am VERY happy to say that first gear is alive again!!! the tech was buffalo'd that the sensors fixed it.

Just wanted to let everyone know about the good news and to

GIVE A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED:D

p. s. (mama's happy again):cool:

i also told the wife that my TDR membership just paid for itself about 42 times!!! :--)

Summit

Make sure the tech knows that you fixed the problem, but don't be too smug (@sshole) about it. I've done a few diagnostic favors for the local Dodge tech on Dodge and Cummins troubles and he has been very nice in return for other service work.

edit

wifie never complains about membership or area diesel stuff.

I'm WAY TOO handy around the house for her to complain... ... .
