Can anyone recommend a good transmission shop around Charleston, WV? I am willing to drive an hour or two to get good quality work done. I am going to put in a new torque convertor. I currently have a dunrite valvebody, but am willing to use any top quality vendor.

thanks

JLITTON, you might give T&T Transmission here outside of Huntington a call

304-523-0880 ask for Terry. He does all the transmission work for us, I don't know if he has any connections with the big suppliers of the products that we here so much about on here or not. All I do know he has been in the transmission business for as kong as I can remember. good luck and keep in touch, I've been wanting to stop by and ask him about doing a little hop up work on my 05. Scott.

You got to do your homework on that

Most transmission shops are not that good. Check around there with guys that involved in truck pulls. They know who good or not. Dave out in Iowa did mine. He one of the best. He will ship the transmission to you. You can call him. Phone 563 778 2719. You get what you pay for.

KennethS,

your right. I was actually meaning someone with knowledge of our transmissions and needs not just a transmission shop. I guess my request didn't come across as I meant to. I know of one guy that does good work on them using Dunrite stuff, I was just trying to see if anyone knew of any others.

thanks.
