Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 47re troubles, please help.

My friend has a 98. 5 truck with 47re transmission. He has the BD pressure lock, upgraded valvebody & torque converter. Last year he did the TC lockup switch, like on TST website. His truck is throwing codes PO743, PO1693, PO1765 lately & the transmission keeps shifting from 4th to lockup when overdrive button is on. The more throttle you give it, the harder it shifts back & forth from 4th to lockup. What can be wrong here? I'm no auto guy & just typing what he is telling me over the phone.

Check his grounds on all of his electronics.

743= TCC solenoid/trans relay circuits.

1765= Trans 12 volt supply relay circuit.

1693 is just telling you that you have a code stored in PCM or ECM.



I check the connections for TCC and trans/supply relay ctrcuits.

We got it fixed. We reset the APPS & wrapped the wire going from the alternator to battery in aluminum foil & it is running great. Thanks guys.
