I am helping a on a 4BT swap with a friend. We want to use a 47re what years do they come in? Also can you just use switches for lockup and overdrive or do they require a computer?

I think yall' need a 47RH.

The 47RE has electronic governor pressure based on TPS readings.

And yes, you can just use switches for TCC and OD.

Transmission identification numbers are stamped on the driver side of the case flange just above the oil pan gasket (just below the TV lever). There will be a 9 digit part number, a space, a 4 digit build date, a space, and a 4 digit serial number.

96-03 Dodge went to the 47RE
