Brian Block of Kentucky laid down 481hp Saturday in Cynthiana, KY at the Black Mountain Diesel Dyno Day & Sled Pull. I am not sure the year, but it is a 1st gen.

These dyno numbers are getting pretty impressive, 481 out of a 1st gen is awesome. Do you know if it was a automatic or a stick?, and do you know what mods have been done to the truck?

To answer your questions. No, I don't. All I know is he is pretty well known locally from what I hear on tuning diesel's. His 1st gen is a sleeper. It is a 3/4 ton with a utility bed on it, painted state dept yellow.

withers--yes that's him and he's top notch in my book and knows a few things about our trucks--very impressive #'s--way to go Brian---chris

Alsome numbers.

Brian Block has been working on diesels ( street trucks, sled pulling trucks, and commercial rigs ) for some time. His truck is a 89 dodge non intercooled, std transmission work truck. He was running his own custom made injectors and a B1 turbo and made 356hp before laying down his latest numbers.

He contacted me about 8 months ago and said he was going to play around some and hoped he broke 400 hp.

Looks like he shattered that. Way to go Brian.

good #s for brain. . hey drives mopars your mail box is full. . i tried to pm you about your 370 injectors doid you use the them as is ? or did you have to sahp tto your ve pump styel injector tops?. . i ask as i have a set of 370s i'd liek to use but my '89 2mm injection line do not fit the 370 injectors etc. . i have heard else where that some 1st gens ie interccoled one have injector line nuts that are the same as 2nd gen ones any one know?. . thanks

Deo

Deo, that truck has a P-pump, so the 370's don't require modifications. On your truck, you can have the 370 nozzles installed on the 1st gen holders and the pop pressure set by a good injection shop. You'll also need the sleeves for the nozzles to make up the difference with the smaller tip diameter.

yeah i have the copper sleeves and a p pump to put on the truck . . i was just debating if i could make em fit . . i remember back at the last seafood fest we we messing with em i think you said your truck had the larger nuts on the injection lines etc... oh well im debating swapping teh p pump in soon or waiting. . i'll probably wait. .

thanks

Deo

There was a change in size. Got new injectors for a 5. 9 with VE and the newbies wouldn't fit:mad: Turns out that the replacement injectors fit the in line pump. Nut size was the difference. Later injectors have the larger sized threads.
