Not much. You would be ahead of the game if you saved your money and called DTT.

I spent months doing transmission research before I decided to go with DTT. I'm having mine built next week and will post my results.

yeah. its for a friend of mine. He is going to get a DTT or SunCoast sometime next year, but just bought a TST box and for the price of the Trans-go we figured it would get him by for while. Any idea what level he can run the TST on??? I should also metion that he has an EZ also. truck is an 04. 5

I would call TST and ask Mark what he thinks. Not all stock transmissions are the same as far as QC goes. Some have better castings than others and will hold more power before letting go. the problem is that you will never know if you have a good one until it holds or lets go.

On my 06 truck I've never used the TST over 4x4 and I can feel the transmission starting to get tired of holding the power. most of the time I keep the box set on 2x2.

Have your friend call Steffan at DTT to see what he needs. Before he calls he needs to know how much power he intends to put through the transmission.

good luck

Yeah know what you mean. Iv'e been on the freeway 68 mph. had the Edge, Juice w/ attitude on 5x5 go to stomp on it, truck luanches off but get's to a point where the 48re can't hold it anymore. You deffinately need an upgraded TC or built trans if you are going to use the box a lot, just my 2 cents.

not to say that the dtt valve body is not as good or better but, the trans go kit is pretty much the same result,no matter how you look at it!!! :-laf

Keep in mind that if you use a trans-go kit and following the instruction they give you, the valve body will probably be useless for some companies later, if you decide to go aftermarket.

You will need to upgrade the TC and VB to hold much more than the tow settings on the TST. From all accounts 3x3 occassionally is all the turbo and trans will take without major problems.

Personally, I wouldn't go over level 3 and then only with great restraint. I'd be more worried about injectors with the EZ than the rest of truck. The TST on 3x3 and EZ on 3 is a fair kick in the pants. Not sure how the turbo and trans are going to like that over the long haul.

if you are going to stack those 2 boxes together then your stock injectors should be looked at closely because of the added rail pressure that will be encountered with this set-up. !! :-laf

Like Diesel Power says, your into the "danger zone" on the injectors with that stack. The early 600 trucks had more than their fair share of injector problems and adding the boxes just accelerates the problem it seems.

Have been a trans builder and user of Trans-Go products since '74, but the difference in their kit and the DTT valve body are many. The DTT valve body is part of a whole system to upgrade both driveability and endurance in the diesels. Different uses call for different solutions.
