while in tow/haul when i brake to turn or slow down (coasting) to turn i feel a significant bump i think this is the t/c unlocking. I took it to the dealer and the said that was the t/c and thats normal. Has anyone encountered this same senario? Any help or comments are greatly appreciated. the truck is a 2006 slt quadcab with 5500 miles everything stock

I'd say that's normal. The tow/haul mode in meant to lock the TC in each gear. When you slow down which would be typical in a turn it gonna down shift. Because it was locked you'll feel it a bit more than a normal shift.

Not a expert with trannies but, it's what I've experienced in tow/haul

Sure it's not the transmission downshifting? This is a normal, and in my opinion, really cool feature of the Tow/haul mode. When I brake in t/h mode with fairly steady and moderate pressure, the trans will down shift, just at the right time. Really cool how it makes braking a breeze.....

i'm pretty sure its the converter unlocking because the truck will go in a idle mode, (the sound of the engine). It does it when slowing down for the turn not in the turn also. thanks guys

I've noticed something to this effect around 30-40mph when I have my trailer on and I am deaccelerating. Like previously said, TC unlocking which feels like a firm downshift.
