48RE Fluid Amount

I know that changing the filter takes between 6 and 8 Qts. I plan on pulling the value body and installing a Transgo kit. Anyone have a guess or know the approximate amount that be needed to refill. I'm also installing a deep Magtec pan and it states that will add another 4 over the stock pan.

With my double deep pan, and an empty TC, mine holds 17 1/2 quarts.

Honestly, I would have at least 12 qts on hand. Might wanna grab 14 to be safe. A totally dry transmission without a double deep pan is anywhere from 14. 5 qts to 16. 5 qts.
