48re Fluid Level

I've discovered yet another problem with the service when the C44 recall was installed. The fluid level is now about 1/2" overfull. Should I remove enough fluid to bring the level to the full mark when hot or leave it alone?

You need to make sure the transmission is in "Nuetral" and on a level area when checking the fluid. Just in case you didn't know.

Yes, it is high with the transmission at operating temperature, on level ground and in neutral.

My truck came with both the trans 48RE and engine overfilled. I had the dealer lower both.



You can do way more damage being overfilled than being a little low.
