It is time to change the filter but I do not know how much ATF+4 to buy. I am going to use AMSOIL and my dealer is many miles away so I need a good answer. Can anyone help?
For a drain and filter change you are looking at 5 to 6 qts. of trans. fluid. If you are going to switch from ATF+4 to AMSOIL you are going to need around 16 qts total for fluid replacement.
Amsoil is ATF+4 rated and compatible with the Mopar fluid. You can do a complete change of all the fluid or just do a drain, replace filter and refill which is all that is needed if you do this every 20,000 miles or once a year.
Check the Amsoil website. They have a section that lists all the fluid recomendations and capacities of all late model vehicles. All you have to do is input your particular vehicle info.
