Thanks Kevin for the reply. Other than the stuck valve, did they find anything else going on with your transmission during the rebuild? I've installed a Transgo shift kit after you replied thinking it would firm up the shifts and if mine did have a stuck valve that would take care of that too. No luck though.... New solenoids, tranducer, lockup solenoid, and shift kit and nothing seems to help. Going to wire up the Mystery switch for the torque lockup and see if that will make it lockup...

This is the only other item that needed changing on my trans due to wear: There is a large ring retainer the holds in the large bearing in the tail (OD) housing and the groove the retainer resides in was worn enough that the shop could no properly set up the trans internals. The tailpiece is a Dodge part and not cheap but the shop said it was not uncommon these days for this to happen. The spring that bears against the bearing is fairly large with a fair amount of force. Apparently the same tailpiece has been used for many years in certain dodge transmissions without issue. This had nothing to due with my problem though.

I had the transmission rebuilt with some upgrades: billet input shaft, billet torque plate, ATS triple-disc TC, and an ATS co-pilot. Bellflower Transmission did the work. Top notch work. I put a Pacbrake exhaust brake on myself after the trans work was done by the shop. This was done two years ago and the transmission has operated perfectly since with nice, tight lockup. The exhaust brake works extremely well.
