I'm sorry to dredge this up, guys, but a search really didn't answer my questions. I have a stock '05 with 36K miles. I have had the 1-2, and 2-3 stutter shifting problem. I had the transmission serviced, and the TSB for the stutter done at @30K. At first it seemed to improve, but as of late the stutter is much worse in both 1-2, and 2-3. In the last few days I have noticed a few slam shifts, both up and down, like the transmission momentarily forgot what it was doing, and then drops the hammer. On one or two occasions, the engine seemed to lug down just a bit, and it almost felt like the transmission was in two gears at the same time, if that makes any sense. Any ideas?

band adjustment

I think you need to adjust your front and rear bands. I plan to do this in the near future as soon as I get new transmission pan and more ATF fluid. I have heard of cases where guys end up doing this and there truck is fixed for shifting.

Thanks for the responses. I am going to try to get ahold of Fred Swanson.

Does anyone know if he is still doing trans work? I have not been to his place, but I have a vague idea of where it is. I am not enthused to go to my dealer, as it seemed to get worse when they serviced it, and they are on the Chrysler hit list.
