I want to inspect & adjust my line pressure at which time I see it should be followed up with a throttle pressure adjustment per service manual that calls for tool # C-3763. A little research about that tool turned up this article:

Torqueflite A-727 Transmission ... - Google Book Search

Chapter 5 tells how to make this tool and should be on page 76 however that page is missing.

Anyone out there make this tool or know where pg 76 might be posted online?

edit In this case, looks like its not worth the effort to make one. I went to: SPX Miller Special Tools and found its only 17. 00

Digging my own post back up here with couple questions...

I changed my line pressure 2. 5 turns out which brought me to 60 psi, does this change the throttle pressure adjustment?

The book states they are independent of each other but then says line pressure must be set first and then throttle pressure.

It looks as though the VB must be removed to set throttle pressure, is that right?

That 727 book I linked to in my first post says to check throttle pressure first while my 05 Ram manual says just the opposite on page 21-1194 so its a little confusing.

the 05 should have a throttle valve actuator,it is electronic and is contolled by the ECM. No adjustments are available. DTT has a shift enhanser that modifies the settings

ADJUSTMENT

The Transmission Throttle Valve Actuator (TTVA) does not require any mechanical adjustments. All changes in throttle valve position are controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM).

The TTVA does require an initialization period after the actuator has been removed or replaced. After the actuator has been removed or replaced, move the iginition to the ON position for thirty (30) seconds. This will allow the ECM sufficient time to perform the internal calibration procedures to learn the TTVA's current “zero” position. Once this is done, check the ECM for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). If no DTCs are set relating to the TTVA, the TTVA is fully calibrated and ready for use.

Your right Bob, mine does have the external TTVA. Since throttle pressure adjustment was listed in my 05 book, I was thinking it must be some sort of static intitial setting on the VB end but guess not.

Thanks for the info and taking time.
