48RE Transmission leaks at electrical connector

So I just changed the fluid/filter/gasket (and brush tack) thinking THAT would cure the leak. Wrong...It looks like my trans leaks at either the park/neutral safety switch or the trans control harness connector on Driver's side. What might I need to replace to remedy this? Anything I can do externally(LOL) first before dropping the pan AGAIN?

The range sensor (neutral safety switch) can be changed externally. The trans connector will require the pan and VB to be dropped to replace it. Both will leak with age and exposure to hot oil, no fix except replace.

Yes, but it is Ebay and no telling the source. The best electrical parts for these transmissions seems to be made by Rostra. Not sure wher ethey get made but if made to their spec they work better than th estnadard line of solenoids, sensors, and such.

NSS buy OEM - the aftermarket are crap, tried more then one to safe money and all were faulty in one way ore another.
Bite the bullet and get the expensive one that works flawless.

For all intents and purposes OE parts do not exist anymore, that was all ceded to the aftermarket 5 years or so after the manufacture MY. Unless there is old stock left with dealers even what they now have is not the OE quality. Most if not all of it was Borg Warner and even some OE parts were questionable at the time. The Rstra parts we have been using have a better life expectancy than BW so far so most of use them when available.

I’d rather go with OEM for sure! ALRIGHT WHO’S HOARDING ALL THE OEM transmission PARTS? But I’m leaning toward Rastra replacements. One vendor, who has lots of the recognizable brands wants $68 to ship a Rastra TCC and OD solenoid, Rastra Gov Pres Transducer, and Rastra Gov Pres Solenoid. I might end up going this route but I’ll look around for similar.

That is not a bad price, about $20 per for those 3 items. Any cheaper than that and I would question quality.
