48RE Upgrading TC and Valvebody

When upgrading to a new TC and VB on a 2006 48RE. Besides the physical installation of the parts(removing and installing the TC and valvebody) are there any other adjustments that need to be addressed normally i. e. ( shift points,TC lockup etc... ) or is it normally a cut and dry swap to the upgaded pieces. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

03-05 upgrade...

Also... ... Is there any way to replace the washer(changed in 06 to a coated one) that prevents jake brakes from being used on the 03-05 models. .

there are accually quite a few things that need to be looked at, on a 06' you need to check your line pressure , and your governor pressure, make sure they are within spec, call who you baught it from and get those #'s. they are criticle to the life of your transmission. on a non fly by wire truck you also have a TV cable to adjust, it too is very criticle. good luck
