12 valve conversion into a motorhome

Been thinking about an extended family mover. My all time favorite van is the venerable Dodge B van. I'd like to do an older 1 ton '80's rust free maxi-van with a nice interior and captains chairs to the back, dual AC, etc. etc. I think a 4B breathed on a bit with a GM OD transmission would be perfect. I'm worried about the engine being too tall. The thought of coal rollin off the back bumper of that charging up a huge grade makes me giggle.

I agree with you. That would be a real comfortable setup. Remember that the standard adapter has a 10 degree tilt to it to help the engine clear. You could probably gain an inch from a body lift without looking too funny and giant radiators can be custom made all day long. Also, you would need a stand alone controller for the 4L80E.

I have seen a 6B in a Dodge Class C motorhome, which is basically the same vehicle. David

Id love to see pictures of that! That's the Dodge van chassis AKA Minnie Winnie? I would't think a 6 would fit.
I just went on a 300 mile 7 member of the family road trip in one car. We're out growing the Durango, and a mini van just ain't gonna cut it! I need power to the REAR wheels!
