I just got home from the 700 mile round trip to pick up the breadvan. I am excited but tired. Got a lot of questions for the guys that have done the swap. Drove it around the block a few times and it seems good. It has some good parts(Dana 60, T19) but no Hydroboost. I have alot of parts just got to figure out what combo I want to run. What front springs should I run?

4BT Bronco

I have 3. 5 - 5. 5 lift springs with my 4. BT; mainly to clear the oil pan. The extra weight compressed them down to a little over 2". I have a 2" body lift. However, I believe I will find a set of 2. 0-2. 5" and install them.

Problem: Squirrelly steering above 65MPH.

I have 7 degree axle shims, and every steering part is new; top of the line parts.

I have the square oil pan; I will find a rear sump oil pan, customize it, and lower my suspension to normal as described above.

I use my 4BT Bronco 95% on road and intend it to be a daily driver. Just installed a 23 gal tank, plus the 11. 5 aux, for 700-850 cruising range.

As for brakes, I have vacuum booster and drums. With the accessory driven vacuum pump, I have excellent brakes. When I installed the neopreme thrust bushings, my stops are almost 100% straight true.

I am running the THM-475 with 3:50 gears -- 35" tires with overall axle ratio of 2:78: 1 . With a 28% speedo reducer and 17 tooth, I am 10 miles for 10 miles.

Mine has no power deficiencies; I feather the throttle to stay with traffic.

Still sorting out turbo. Currently running non-wastegated, and appreciate low end lag and smoke cloud on heavy throttle, which clears at about 1100 RPM. Have a HX-30 form 4. 5BTA to install.

Had vibration from HELL, till I went back with the P30 oil filled mounts, notched frame at starter and put rubber washers under transfer crossmember mounts.

Again, the power is awesome.

I have 3. 5" James Duff springs on the front of the bronco but I think they will be too soft. I was kind of thinking about a set of 4" off a big bronco. I also have a 3" body lift. I will run a NP435/205 combo and 35's or 37's. Trying to make up my mind for the 3. 50's or 4. 11's.

The motor mounts look weak. I may go to the 1st gen type or the p30 ones.

Id get a hold of Cage off road in St. Helens Ore they build lift kits for dodge so they know cummins weights and specialize in ford stuff
