4bt gurus please help

i ordered a parts manual off ebay, but the guy wont answer, so i wont pay.....



anyway can someone go to my site at

and identify these 5 parts. i realize that the injector pump photo shows 3 things, but the included harness only connects to two, an i dont know which 2 other than the number 2. . and number 3 has a y male blade connector on it.

No 1 is a water temp sending unit.



No 2 is the temp sensor for the cold start device.



No 3 is the fuel shut off solenoid.



No 4 is the Cold start device. It changes the timing for starting according to the temp.



No 5 is where Dodge puts the water temp sending unit. another one?



So this is your new Diesel?

ok, so the long tail of 2 connects to 4, and the short tail of 2 connests to 3. and 3 gets 12v of power from the key?



that is my new to me diesel. the one i talked to you about.



for 800 bucks it looks ok to me

Yes, all of those items get 12v when the key is on. Sounds like you got one heck of a deal on the Diesel.

All the ones I have seen for $1k + have had enough grease on them to pack a few sets of wheel bearings.

number 5 item can be tested to reveal what it is. Can you remove it? If so, an ohm meter would show changing resistance inversely with temperature rise applied to the tip of the sensor. That's typical of thermister type temperature sensors.
