Posted on 4bt swaps, but thought I would post here too. I got a ve44 rotary on a 4bt that I need a rebuilt unit for. Was hoping to order one and have it shipped and send in a core vs. waiting on having mine rebuilt to save time. Only place I found that looks like they have them is Oregon Injection. Anybody have any recommendations for a shop that might have one?

Oregon Fuel Injection is a very good shop it has been in buisness a long time . I kick my self in the rear for useing a out fit from
back east found on E-bay ( DCP ) I spent a $1000.00 and no help , now i can pay to have it done again . If nothing else id call
a local shop and ask them whom they use in your area .

Where are you located? Locally for myself is a solid injection shop that is Bosch certified. They do all the injection work for our ag tractors and have helped me with my 6BT.

I have heard of some hot rod TT 4BT's he has built for some of the local people.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a local shop in Knoxville that I have never used before, but I think they do service work for the big rig shops in town. They quoted me 7-800 to rebuild my pump which seems fair. Oregon and Industrial injection both quoted me 1000. Nobody had any cores they could rebuild and ship me so I will have to wait for them to R and R my pump. A grand for a rotary pump rebuild seems high to me, but I have also used Oregon in the past when the pump took a crap on my dads Duramax. I had good luck and the service was good. I will give wentland a call and see what they say. Thanks again.

Used to take all my pumps injectors for road trucks to them as far as im concerned they are the best there is. I never once had a problem with any of their work on my Class 8 Cummins or Cat powered trucks. A friend just rebuilt his Cat 3406 A sent all the work to them and as said impeccable work!!

Just a word of advice these guys will do anything, if you want something that is not QUITE appropriate (If you know what I mean) just be careful how you go about asking them to work on such things.

Ended up sending it to City diesel in Knoxville. Full story on the pump was it was leaking around the big O ring in the head. I decided I would pull it and replace it myself figured worse case is it would need a rebuild anyway. When I put it back on and started the truck it hit runaway . Pump shop said I must have had something in a bind when it went back together and it broke the fulcrum lever. 750 parts and labor and I will be back in business. I learned my lesson though and will stick to gov. spring installs and pump tweaks only....:D

Rebuilt one listed on Portland , Ore . Craigslist for $450

Now ya tell me.....:D Got the rebuilt unit back. Installed on the 4 banger. Runs nice, fires right up, and no leaks. Little smokier than before, but I would imagine the injectors are well worn and popping at a low pressure.
