After noticing that the stock paint on my injectors was chipped, I decided to look and see what type of injectors were installed, and saw the #9347 stamped on all 6. After googling around I finnaly figured out that these injectors are for "1986-90 Cummins 4B/3. 9L Injector

OEM Number - 3919347

Mechanical, CPL 857 & 858, 7mm Tips, 105 & 120 HP "

Here is the link

With a half turn up on the fuel screw they seem really peppy, however I do not want to be stressing out the pump.

Anyone know what the stock injector #'s are for the non I/C cummins? then I'd be able to compare them on this cummins info site I found...

here

Thanks

Nick

It's worth noting that when you have injectors cleaned flowed and reset you should hav them set to about 255 bar.

That seems to work well on our pumps and also allows for the pump to be turned up or down a bit and still have good atomization... at least that's been my experience as well as that of a couple other's I've spoken to.

I am now running a set of POD's that have been set to 270 bar... . to be honest I did not gain anything worth noting and in fact I feel they are stressing the pump TOO much so there is no need to go higher than about 255'ish.

This also works well with a bit higher timing too... a good combination in my opinion.

pb... .

The higher pop pressure will effectively delay ignition.

A timing change is needed if the pop is changed.
