is this RV a good ctd candidate?

Oil and temperature sender ohm ranges

I'm in the process of planning a 4bt engine swap. I don't plan on bombing it (well later maybe). Does anyone have any suggestions for air intake (filter?) and exhaust (3",3. 5" or 4") Thanks.
 
I've been told 5" exhaust is too big for a 6bt



that didn't stop me :D



if it's going to be relatively stock, 3" will probably be your best bet... but these things never stay stock for long ;)



3. 5 will probably cost you more than 4" as it's less popular in the big truck world... personally, I'd go 4" ;)

My thoughts on a W150 conversion is to use stock exhaust off a 2nd. gen B5. 9. I've got one behind the shop just waiting.



Intake, I'd go with a Fleetguard BHAF.



What are you planning to install the 4bt in?

on a naturally aspirated gas engine? yes...



on a turbo diesel? no so much... it can stall the exhaust flow a bit, but not bad enough to worry IMHO.

I've got a '91 Dakota 4x4, lifted 16", 1 ton axles, running 35" tires.

Need more power, hence the 4bt swap.

Looks like you have plenty of lift to clear the front axle. I know someone who did the 2x4 '91 Dakota with the 4bt. Have you seen his pics posted here? He had to make a custom oil pan to clear his steering but then he has stock tires and not special lift done. I've been keeping close contact with him for my '85 Prospector short-bed project.

Yes, I'm aware of that swap. I have been in contact with him also. I will be able to use the engine just the way it is.
