4BTA Temp and Fan Switch Ports

HERE IS THE P. N. FOR THE FLUIDLASTIC ISOLATOR ENGINE MOUNTS I USED #1100639 GET THESE FROM PHIL RITCH FLEET SUPPLY 1-800-998-3033 THEY HANDLE ALL THE STUFF FOR THE CUMMINS REPOWER BOX VANS, AS I REMEMBER THEY COST ABOUT 32BUCKS EA. :D :)

jpete

Thanks for the info. Called on mounts. they want $99 ea. He couldn't give me any information like dimmesnions drawing and I cannot match this part number to the Lord fluidmaster part numbers on line. I guess I can call Lord and ask if they will cross reference it.

Status: Have 4BT apart for painting. Will do it in ISB color scheme (wrinkle texture red covers and gloss black engine). Anyone know of an engine enamel in gloss black that won't cook off near the exhaust ports? Getting injector information from Al @ Piers diesel. They liked the idea of me putting the HY35W on the 4BTA. said it will do a nice early spool-up :D and take advantage of that with some injectors that they will suggest. Waiting on their evaluation of my setup.

Piers pick out some Bosch 190's for me. Implied that that's close to the limit of the VE pump and that it would need some extra advancing.

Have been waiting for some painting type weather. Soon... Soon. I keep saying that and don't you know it snows yesterday. Still going with the red and gloss black ISB colors on the engine. Have the '95 nv4500 adapter made for the GM style bellhouisng. It's mounted. Now I ran into a fit problem with the np208 to the NV4500. It pulls up all but the last 3/16". Making a spacer ring for that now. Then I will slip the whole ass'y into the engine compartment and recheck my drivetrain. Then it all comes back out for an A/C pump bracket fit and then the painting.

This getting to be fun. Just looking at what I'm changing now should bring me up to about 270 h. p. from the stock 105 h. p. and torque out the yinyang. This is better than my '91 6bt cummins.

If you use the NV-4500 Dodge Version, with Dodge Flywheel housing, starter. flywheel, you will havethe starter on the left side

(drivers). If you use the NV-4500 GM Version with theGM flywheel housing, flkywheel and starter, you will have the starter on the Right (passengers side) . If you have space problems on one side, you can use DOdge or GM and move the starter to the other side. I put a 4BTA/NV-4500 married to a NP-205 in my 1943 DOdge Carryall. Now I wish I had used the GM NV-4500 as I had a serious space problem on the left between the starter and the Saginaw Power Steering box.

Yes, a 1993 Dodge NP-205 will bolt right up to the NV-4500. I did make a modification on sealing between the transmission and T case, but it does not have to be done.

Sounds great. Will be nice to see the finished product. Btw D models are 2wd, W models are 4wd... . looks as you have a W150. Bill

I'm planning to swap a 4bt into my '91 Dakota 4x4. I'm going to use an A518 (A618?) transmission and bolt it to my NP231 transfer case. Then I'll use the starter, alternator, psteering, A/C etc. from a first gen. I've already done an axle swap so I don't need to worry about that since I'm running 1 ton axles.
