C-Series-Man ... Are you selling the 8.3L F 250?

what all has to be done to go from a 5 to a 6 speed?

I dont know how to cut and paste or whatever u call it by attaching the link, but ebay item # 2434258119. Title is Ford Van Cummins Diesel 5 Speed. Its a 87 Ford E150 van 4bta after cooled 'redheaded' (which I thought was cool!!) Cummins. Newer Tremec Mustang Cobra R 5-speed. Reserve is $2000, buy it now is $2500. Located in Putnam Valley,NY. I have no connection with this ad, just figured I'd pass along the info. Bill I know I'd like to start cutting the junk ford van up and take the cummins out!!

why why why

would a large bottle of pepto bismal be included? ARGH- definitely someone elses dream. Now if I had a project for the 4bta drivetrain... ... .

Hyperlink to that item

I'd pay $2000. 00 for the truck for the parts. IF I had $2000. 00 not earmarked for my Motohome. Would love to drop that setup into my Trooper to pull behind the MH. Wonder what he's say if I cut it up with a sawzall to minimize the drag on the trip home. Just zip the whole body off and find a dumpster.

Wonder if I can convince the wife to loan me the cash.

CJ, I thought the excate same thing. This guy probably only live 4 hours away. You could sell the tremec, clutch, and bellhousing for 1400 or so and only have 600bucks in the engine.

My uncle and I built that thing about 10 years ago.

That transmission might be a good one for the 'stang, but its 1st gear is just NOT right for a B series!

(Been there, done that)

It did not get 27MPG either. 24 was the best I ever saw from it with the Clark.

With a BW T-5, they dont take off in 1st very well... too high.

It is not underpowered though. THey move a 1/2 ton around pretty well.

I dont know why he removed the harness either.

BTW, the motor has about 210,000 on it (at time of sale about 5 or 6 years ago after my uncles death).

Last 170,000 was all with Amsoil with dual bypass and air filter.

I guesss it's a good thing I'm not bidding on it.

I know where some 4 b's are with less miles.

I would sure like to repower my Trooper but I guess I'll have to wait until the money tree blooms again. And besides, I have projects lined up and waiting their turn in front of that idea.
