Heres where im at right now.

- DownPipe made

- TC Crossmember removed (top passenger piece out, didnt need to remove the top driverside)

- Insulation for heater core cut to fit the larger DP

- Stacks have been powder coated

- bellhousing mount modified for the new DP

here are some pics

and some more... . my the way i did the Hurculiner role on bedliner in the bed too. did 2 coats on everything. didnt have enought to do the bottom of the bed but i have a thick rubber mat i put down that is bolted under my tool box, so i really dont need the liner on the bottom anyhow.

and here the stacks that just got finished with the black hightemp powdercoat. layin in the bed, here you can see the bedliner real good... alright im done for now. atleast till the weekend when i Lord willing get it all finished and then ill give you another flood of pictures.

i can here if from you now pete "youd be done by now jimmy, if you didnt spend so much d*** time takin pictures!" dont worry pete, it dont take no time at all :D

Since when does anybody care what he thinks, he isnt the voice of reason you know!!!! LOL

3 things,

1, you shoulda made the DP bend a little shorter. Clears the firewall better. (I found out the hard way. ;))

2, go wash your hands, dirtbag! :-laf

3, DD, GFY! :p

Looks good Jimmy! :D

oh geese pete, you think my hands are dirty in these pictures?!?! good gosh, this is the cleanest theyve been all week. i got a bunch more pipe from my local truck shop, its off some old Internationals, 4 and 5 inch. the inside of the pipes are soaked in nasty old motor oil, so you can only imagine the blackness i was gettin into. i got a metal scrub-brush and a jug of fastorange and could barley get the sut geaze and oil outa my skin without makin it bleed.

oh yea and i realized that i could have made the angle shorter to make my life much easier. but, oh well, the little streighter angle will alow a more gradual easier flow for the exhaust, probly not enough to make a stink about, but what the heck... :D

well matt, well have to see. the downpipe was the easy part. gettin this 4inch s. o. b. past the TC was the worst thing! i got a bunch of pictures of my strugles for you. the you decide if want to tackle this... i dont think you could afford what id charge if i had to do this job over:-laf

thanks for the compliments guys, i really apreciate it. i had to take the stacks back to get redone, cause they started to flake. so ill get them tomaro, then i can finish her up. that will be exciting :D

heres my issues with the powder coating. yea i was not exactly in a jolly mood when i walk out to the barn that morning and see the coating flaking up:mad:

heres a comparison of the differnt pipe sizes. i got here, 3inch stock pipe, 4inch to show what im using from the turbo all the way out past the TC, then 5inch which im going to use from just behind the TC all the way into the 6inch stacks. i got pictured, the 5inch 90* elbow that i got off an International. im cutting the 4inch reducer off the y-pipe and just making it 5inch.

heres some shots off everthing in for the most part. and one of the 5-4inch reducer thats going right behind the TC. hope yall enjoy!! :-laf

ill borow a buddies video cam and record the sound and a drive by for yall :D

Couldn't you afford a new piece of 4" pipe? It would have been easier than welding all those junkyard pieces together! :-laf

Helpful hint, from a mechanic. Hand cream. ;) Put it on before you get dirty, and it helps your hands come clean.

Women like clean hands. ;) :D If you ever get one. :-laf

sure i could have afforded a new piece of 4" pipe, but why buy one when i can make one with the pipes i already have?? besides, due to the large diameter of the 4" i had to make some pretty crazy angles to get it to all fit where needed. past the frame rail, under the bellhousing, above the drive shaft, under the cab, inside the frame rail, beyond the crossmember vertical piece, around the TC, then back out. so even a new piece of pipe would have needed to be heavily modified to fit all these unique angles.

hmmmm hand cream?? ill look into this. most the guys i work with at john deere dont give a rip about their hands hi-gene. but yea i definantly plan to find a woman, some day soon! :D so ill have to figure out the art of keeping your hands from becomeing total meat hooks.
