I have the boost installed in the srt a pillar, egt and transmission temps going on the top of the dash in a 3 gauge pod. My question is with the model gauges I have(autometer ultra lite 2) they only make a fuel pressure gauge that reads 0-100 psi. I know that is plenty(not for rail press just fuel press)so my question is do I stick with that or get a water temp gauge instead? What type fuel press would I be seeing?I think 10psi(stock truck) but this truck is new to me. I know my PSD ran 70psi fuel press. So that is my dilema, stick with the fuel press or go to a water temp?If I do stick with the fuel press(electric type) where do I hook it into? The gauge came with a screw in type sender. Thanks in advance

They make guages such as boost & pyro in one gauge, meybe you can do some combo guage in the srt a piller and free up a spot in the pod

Nevermind I misunderstood what you where looking for

I dont have a problem with the # of gauges just which types to put into that last spot. I just may stick with the fuel pressure.

Reading 10 psi on a 0-100 psi gauge is kind of ridiculous. Resolution isn't good enough to see anything on the 0-100.

But I understand your desire to stick with the same manufacturer/type gauge for consistency.

How about a transmission temperature gauge?

how hard would it be to use a 0-35psi mech boost gauge but with the boost press carefully wiped off the gauge face. . i plan on getting some silver label maker tape and relabeling my boost gauge as a fuel press gauge when i upgrade/add gauges. i still wish autometer would make some universal temp & pressure gauges, that just are labeled pressure or temprature...

I had that idea but I really like the fact this gauge is electric and doesnt need an isolator, and the same reason you mentioned(label). I might just stick with it. I already have the transmission temp, egt and boost so the only other one in this gauge series that would be of any use would be a water temp gauge. ?,does your fuel press rise if you install a FASS pump system?

How much?Would the 0-100 psi gauge be more realistic at that point?I would rather have that than a water temp or oil pressure(the only other 2 that will match my current set up). Stock I think that the fp is around 10 psi what would I be at with a FASS system?

FASS pumps run 20psi or so at maximum. Still not very practical on a 0-100 scale.

Did you know your factory oil pressure gauge is fake? It just shows you what it thinks you want to see, rather than actual engine oil pressure.

yeah my ford was like that,as long as it had 6psi it was in the middle of the gauge. Tough decision now, water temp or oil press. ?Any help?I assume the water temp would be easier to hook up(was on my ford) but I could be wrong.

My vote would definetly be for oil pressure. Piece of CAKE to hook up, just use the oil test port (1/8" NPT) atop the oil filter mount.

The factory water temperature gauge, unlike the oil pressure, is real and accurate.

I will look into that. On my ford I had to grind out a piece of a bracket to get the sender to fit into the spot,PITA!I will check out that spot today and see if it will work. Thanks for the help.
