Competition Result from pull in Armada, Mi 08/20/06

Hooked last night with the new 35 spline Detroit locker and Yukon axles.

Just Rolled into the throttle nicely to avoid any more axle/driveshaft/ring & pinion/ and what ever else wants to let loose carnage.

They made us unhook the traction bars. . I didn't rub any more paint of the fenders this time though. :-laf

Do you think I have enough fuel yet?

Pulled 281. 78 feet. . 1st place was 307 feet, a Duramax.

I am considering pulling the plate back a hair to see if that may help a bit. . does it look like I'm putting out the fire? This pull was in 2nd gear & 3700RPM. . with 4. 10s & 35" tires. .

The pump is a stock 180 pump with AFC and other modifications, but with no tuning done at a pump shop. Timing is at 24. Pro Street 66/14 charger from HTT. I make about 51PSI on the street.

I appreciate any input!

BTW did you guys notice the nice dent in the box at the end. . Courtesy of a drunk at Tampico Saturday night after IRP.

I turned the fuel back a little bit as a trial. . I only slid the AFC back towards the firewall all the way.

Gained nearly 300RPM pulling in 2nd gear on the track. . Went from 3700 to nearly 4000RPM in 2nd gear.

I think it pulls a lot better! Next thing is to slide the plate back a tad.

For as much smoke as was flowing in that vid it still seemed to light off fairly easy. You also didn't fall under it at the end of the track which is another good thing. You might try reducing the fuel a little and see if you can't get on top of it a little sooner, would probably help overall footage if you can more power to the ground sooner.

What you really need is a 5spd and DD, why don't you come down for a weekend Garret! ;) :-laf

Overall looking good man with no hop'n and no breakage! Oo. Thanks for the return call today, I'll be talking with HTT tomorrow! ;)

Garret, what rpm were you turning there? It didn't sound as strong as normal, maybe just the camera audio. Got smoke you going to put a 66 on your truck?

never mine Garrett I reread your post and saw the 3700 rpm post. Heavy sled???
