Looking for the switch that goes on the top of the NP205 that sends the signal off the shift rail to the dash that you are in 4wd.

Dodge wants $140!

Blue streak use to make one according to NAPA but no longer.

QUAD 4X4 also wants big dolla's.

Anyone know where I might find two?

Thanks!

Robert

Uhhh, look anything like this one? BWD FWD23 - Four Wheel Drive Indicator Lamp Switch | O'Reilly Auto Parts

On stuff like that, I'd first hit up Orielly's, then I'd go to Blumenthal. I've got an account of there, and they're always super nice. I'll call up there for you, if you like. Hell, if you can't get one up there, I'll mail you one from Orielly's if you want.....

The next place would be these guys. They're eager to help, but they do good work, and they know it. I've never tried to get a switch from them... ... Transfer Case Express, Inc. · New, rebuilt transfer cases ( transfercase ). Lowest prices. In California, world-wide delivery

HH - Thanks for the links.

Sadly, no. That is not the one. Mine is similar, but is a 2 prong style. Not a weather proof one.

The second link to TCE, oddly they do not list a 205 for any brand! Odd.

Orielly's sells the new connector, PT5644, to go with the FWD23, just in case you can't find an original one... ... I'm 80% sure this is what I used in the Coyote Interceptor when I put it together, as it had a NP205... . I've got to go look at it's remains when I get that direction. It's probably still in the t-case..... this is all out of my parts notes when I built the monstrosity.....

I had to call Blumenthal's this morn, and asked about this when I got done. They don't have one either, they'll have to get it from Dodge!! I was very dissapointed..... :(

... and yes, that is odd TCE doesn't list the NP205. I know I got a bolt on yoke from them a few years ago... I bet they just don't sell enough of them to keep them listed. They are pretty tough units!! I bet they can still get parts, though.

Robert,

Look here, I think that the thread is the same size. Pollack makes both a normally open and a normally closed. Truck dealer should be able to get them for you once you make a selection.

I don't have time right now to properly compare the thread size so you will want to check that out.

They offer blade style, just open the categories up and read away...

Man, you have some nitty gritty specs on that page and the ones in each section.

Sadly, I dont see one that fits! :{

Any luck on the T-case switch?

You have a good memory.

No, I did not. At least not under $150. When you need two of them, $150 is steep! ;)

Still keeping my eyes open. Its not a rush as I dont think the truck is exactly ready to drive so... . :-laf

You are not just looking at the illustrations, right???

I found several in there with . 250 male blade terminals which is how I have visualized yours.

Give me more input and I will help you. If you want, take a shot of the connector that you want to mate it to and post it.

Did you ever get a factory part number? It might cross with a Dorman... . maybe. Dorman did just start making the Dodge steering box rebuild kits... . not bad for $6. A lot cheaper than a borgeson... :D I looked at my '93 this morning, but I can't get to it for the grassburrs... . :( I washed MOST of the dirt off of 'em!! They're still sharp after all these years.....

Oh, hey, and the door window switch... Dorman Products - Application Guide Results

Mike - What, me know how to read! :D;) (Yeah, the pics are misleading if only following that!) :-laf

I will post pics of it.

HH - I did. Have to find it. Did NOT think of doorman... ...

Robert,

I really did some digging from home last night, even checked NOS IH pick-up truck parts, they used the same switch but no luck.

I think I would purchase the switch shown above from O'Reilly or NAPA (They have the same one) and make up the plug to fit it rather than going with a short repair harness.

If you want I will get a test mule switch from the local NAPA and give you the Packard numbers required to build the wire end plug. Would look all factory and have all the integrity of an OEM part when done.

Willing to do so if you want me to. :)

Mike - You are way to accomodating! Thanks.

I will be OK though. I am going to keep my eyes open for the next few months. I dont forsee the tuck driving this summer so even if it is the last thing to go in... .

I may just do the modified plug yet. That is a good second option.

Thanks for all of the time you spent. Glad to see (in a way!) that I am not the only one who could not find it. Hte it when that happens! :-laf
