Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 4WD light doesnt work

my 4wd light quit working sunday for no reason. the 4wd still works but i have no light on the inst. cluster. it was working fine the day before, then on sunday i put it in 4 hi and no light.

could this be just a loose wire or is the CAD going south (like my lift pump did friday before vacation )?

any ideas?

On the front axle there is a sensor/indicator switch that can go bad. I think it was around $25... I had a transmission shop slap it on when I was getting my cooling lines fixed.
