Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 4wd to 2wd

Has anyone ever taken a 4wd truck, removed the transfer case and front axle and continued to drive it as a 2wd? Obviously making a block off plate for the trans case opening. I am in desperate need of a trans case for my 3500 and have not been able to find one yet. Would still like to get the truck on the road again however until one is located.

You can run it without the front driveline, no problems there. Can't help you with the t case

Pat, your post is confusing. Why would you remove the front axle? Block off plate for the T-case opening? How would you attach the rear drive shaft?
