i am going to put a divorced t-case in my 95 dodge and was wondering if i could just change the tail housing to a 2wd or should i just get a 4500 or 5600 2wd transmission? i keep blowing up t-cases and at $700+ its getting expensive so i decided to go with a divorced setup and am looking to sell my transmission or trade it or just change tail shafts whatever it takes. im going to use a 205 tcase and was looking for a little more info before i start it.

The main shaft is diffrent between the 2wd and the 4wd so you must change it too. Why not just use a 205 and adapt it to the nv 4500 you all reddy have? no need to divorce it I set up mine in the chevy truck and I'm running the Chevy 205 and an adapter from advanced adapters (BTW this "kit" Kills the 5th gear nut problem by removing it!)

William...

well i can say im very intrested in that idea  . but one of the other reasons i am doing it is it has 12+ " of lift and the driveshaft angles are pretty bad. how much is the kit and whats involved in doing it? i would rather keep the driveshafts as short as possible so that way would probably be better. can you put a index ring on it to rotate it down? thanks again
