Hello all, I am having an issue with my 4wheel drive. . Problem when I shift into 4high everthing works great front axle locks and we are good for about 2-3miles then the axle shifts out for 10seconds then I can here it slam back in??? I have change the 4wheel drive actuator and check vacuum at 28Hg I am sur I have no leaks just not sure of this system as to why it would lock in then out-ANY input would be greatly appreciated,,Thanks:confused:

May not be the answer your looking for but I got tired of having problems with the CAD and replaced it with a cable from posilok. Problem free ever since

When you say 2-3 miles what kind of road surface are you running on. Something soft and slippery or dry and hard. If it's hard pack or something you can get by with it in two wheel drive you are really putting the transfer case and differential in a BIND in 4X4 which could cause it to kick out and bang back in. Four wheel drive is really only made to run when rear wheel drive won't make it. When you need it pull it in, when you don't push it out.
