Two days into a 4,000 mile trip with my slidein camper I discovered a problem with the Hellwig sway bar purchased from 4 Wheel Parts. I sent them this email:

I have a Hellwig anti-sway bar that I purchased from you in 07/29/97. The link between the swaybar and the frame has broken. It is obvious from looking at the part that it was cracked during manufacture and then paint filled in the crack making it impossible to see.

Is there any warranty on this part, and if so, how can I get it replaced?

If there is no warranty, can you get this part for me?

Part # 7626 Hellwig Anti-sway bar kit

$168. 95!!!!!!! This is considerably more than I paid for the entire sway bar kit. I expected the part would be free ( under the lifetime warranty) or way under $20 at least! It's only a end link after all.

I then called the Hellwig office in California and was told that the part was of course under warranty and where would I like the part shipped to? I requested the part be shipped to a hotel in Las Vegas and had it a few days later.

3 cheers to Hellwig Products for great customer service and a big fat watermelon cheer to 4 Wheel Parts for trying to screw a long time customer. I will never again purchase from them!

Sounds about right. I wont go near the one in Austin and would rather spend a couple of extra bucks somewhere else to get decent customer service and support.

Y'all are finding out what 4 wheel parts wholesale is all about.

They need to go to customer service "U" - Robin Patton style!

4wheelparts SUCK!!!!

Heck even after I spent 3500 and some change they still wanted to charge me 6. 50 for a catalogue and you don;t want me to get started on their lies about my stuff being in, and the ***** I went through to get my centercaps. I even drove 2 hours to their store to pick my stuff up. I finally got my centercaps when I casually mentioned cruising the INDY truck show with a 4WHEELPARTS SUCKS! sign in my bed.
