Hi All,

Does anyone know the Napa part number for the spindle nut socket for the Dana 60 front axles?

Thanks,

Joe

The front axle uses round nuts with recesses 4 square lugs.

I could give you the snap on number. NAPA should be able to cross it. I had a friend price a socket for his W250 about 3 months ago. It was $65. from NAPA.

Thanks for the replies guys. BMoeller, I live near Bloomington so it's probably a little too far to drive, but I appreciate the offer. I wonder if the nuts are the same size on the 60's as 44's. In that case I'm good because I have that socket, but I thought the nuts on the 60's were larger. Otherwise, I'd appreciate the Snap-On number if you have it handy, Philip.

It would not normally be all that hard to figure out except that I am patiently trying to soak the frozen allen-head bolts holding the Warn hubs on. I'm down to one on each hub...

Looking here, it looks like the 60 may use a bigger socket. May depend on if you have the large locking hub or not. The Dana 50 on my Ford diesel is the smaller one.

I go through Bloomington a LOT, but won't be this coming week, unless things change. Might be through mid to late next week.

Since I have both a 44 and a 60 socket I can say they are diffrent. The one for the 60 is about 3/4" diameter larger. It looks like part number is in the post above, good luck.

I got mine at Carquest last week and it lists "Dana 60 front" as application on the back of the package. ~$30

I was hoping my Dana 44 Front would fit but like flexiheep said, no dice.
