you might just be ok with a 2/4 drop with 35's... or if you air bag it, you can roll around at stock height and when you park, dump the bags for the 4/6 drop ;) [and i like lowered trucks]

i am real tempted to get some 20x10 wheels [like the boze fordged fatal 8's] and some 325/50/20 toyo's [33" tall] and lower the truck 2/4" with an air bag setup, but the $$$$$ isn't here to do that [trying to save for a house, so i need to start pinching pennies]

I own my lifted 4X4 that can crawl up just about anything. I work out of the bed of my truck and a drop of 4" would make work much easier. Try lifting an anvil at the end of the day after shoeing 8-10 horses. That 4" would mean just barely lifting the anvil at hip height and sliding the anvil in the bed vs. straining already strained back muscles. I need 4X4 because I live in CO and I need a truck to carry my supplies.

All of you that are sticking to the "4X4's should sit high like a 4X4" statements are thinking from aesthetics not functionality--unless, of course, you wheel your $32,000+ vehicles( I could go on aobut why I think that is ridiculous. )

More than likely not going to do this due to the cost but it would be entirely functional and make sense.

Im more into lifting my rig not lowering. Anything i have to load i use a crane in our dock at work to put it in, and when i tow (barely ever) i again use the crane. Im thinking about going with the +7 skyjacker kit :)

Well yes, I do wheel my rig. Not the hardcore wheeling I do with my jeep but it got dusty and muddy offroad this weekend.

There is a company in Portland (a thread I started a couple years ago has info) that will lower front an inch and rear about 3 on Gen 3 and as much as 6 on Gen 2. I use TRex front springs for backroad travel and carrying dirt bike on front. They lifted me 2 inches which is irritating because the back is a little low with load so it has to come up some too. I like the "lowness" of Chevies but that is about it. George

Klenger: IOU after ordering my 05 I knew that I would have to lower the rear. You answerd most of my concerns. Thanks for your help Jim
