Hi,

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Diesel 4x4 When I put it in 4 wheel drive it pulls hard to the right and it also makes a reverberating noise

it is ok in two wheel drive and the wheels had an alignment.

I was wondering if any one has had this trouble and how to fix it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is the 4 wheel drive light on the dash coming on? Also, what road surface are you driving on? You can only use 4 wheel drive on a loose road surface otherwise you will get binding until one of the wheels can bust loose and catch up.

Hi Dave,

The 4 wheel drive light does come on. I put it in 4 wheel drive only

off road and sometimes on road only when roads are wet from a heavy rain. I now have 95000 miles on my ram and I have just noticed this in the last couple thousand miles. I have always used the same kind of tires, Michelin LtX M/S.

P. S. After I take it out of 4 wheel drive the light stays on and it feels like it is still in 4 w. d. until after I turn the engine off, after I

start the engine it is back in two wheel drive and everything is ok.
