Hey All~

Well the roads were a little slick after a snow. So I put it in four high, and about after a minute I could hear a roar kind of noise coming from the front end. I could also feel it through the floor board. I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions would be great. Thanks

Hi

My experience with U Joints going bad is that they will whine or make a grinding noise which will increase with an increase in speed.

should be no more than a very minimal amount of play in any direction, if it seems "loose" replace it. Bad joints at the least will howl/vibrate, at worst break, bind, or wear out other associated parts. a dropped front shaft has the potential to hit the trans or oil pan or other and also break transfercase. enough scary talk!
