4x4 works but no light on dash

i need some help on trying to get the 4wd light to come on on the dash. It work a couple of weeks ago and now the light dose not come on at all. Even in 4 hi or 4 low but i can tell that the truck is in 4wd when i turn. so if any body has some thing i can try let me know.

Assuming the bulb isn't burned out, there may be a problem with the switch in the transfer case. It's exterior to the case, and should be a piece of cake to change.

You may need to adjust the Push rod that connects the Lever to the TC. . if that does not do the trick you will need to check the engagement sensor. Assuming you have the manual lever.

hey, thanks guy that is why i love this site. $30 transfer case switch and a couple minutes to change it. it would have cost me hundreds of dollars to have the dealer change it.

My '04. 5 had the same problem a few years back. Dealer did a reflash and it worked again. Gremlins:-laf
