5.9 vs 6.7 CP3 pumps

I am having some problems with my 2005 5. 9 CP3 pump and have a 6. 7 CP3 pump that I can get for free and wonder if it will work and what the difference between them is. Thx

I believe they are identical, the FCA may not be the same, use the FCA off your 05 pump.



EDIT:really need more info,,, why do you believe it's the injection pump and not a component.

The problems I am having are related to either the FCA or the COV but I have a 6. 7 pump and do not know what is different and if the 2 parts are interchangeable between the pumps. I also wonder if there are advantages to just putting the whole pump on.

I am not sure if the FCA and Cascade valve have the same specs, between the pumps, they will fit. It is a whole lot easier to change either of these parts, than the pump...
