Here are all the part numbers and prices to make your own 5" exaust. If you build it without a muffler it sounds great but has a droan at 1,7-1,800 rpm's. The muffler sounds great also and the wife will love you. It does have a turbo whistle above 2,200 rpm that cannot be heard in the cab with the windows up. I do put the passenger window down to enjoy the noise. :D

Donaldson muffler M090595 $60. 54

4" Down pipe DDP4000 $82. 13

4"-5" Reducer P206328 $11. 55

5" 90degree elbow 4-503 $27. 25

5" Pipe 8 Feet STL5 $59. 00

-----------

240. 47

Header rap 36. 00

------------

276. 47

If you don't have access to a welder you can get clamps and a couple of sleeves to build this system. I used the hanger from the old exaust, but a 1/2" piece of rebar could be used and you can probably get a piece from the lumber yard that was bent. I still have my free peice that I was going to use for the front mount by the trans. that I still haven't finished.

Air Flow Systems Inc. has all the pieces.

They also have all sorts of other fun things. :D

Sorry the link was wrong. It should be correct know. This is my first post with links and pictures.

Justin, it has been rumored that it helps keep the heat in the exhaust and helps it flow better. I put it on more to keep the heat away from the firewall and also to help keep the temps. down under the hood.

I checked the website out, and the prices were listed a little higher than what you had posted, do they give a discount if you buy several items at once?? I'm considering building a 5 -inch setup for mine, thanks for posting the site.

I know it not a 5" exhaust but... ...

FWIW: A buddy and I just built up 4" exhaust for our trucks for about $165 dollars each; The exhaust exits just like stock, in fact we cut off the stock 4" tip and used it. Looking at the trucks you would think they are stock unless they are running. BTW: that price is "muffleless".

If anyone is interested drop me a line and I'll try to be of assistance.

Okay you guys, how did you attach those four or five inch pipes to the turbo? Did you cut off the stock exhaust pipe at the turbo and weld the bigger pipes on - or what?

I'll sell you one;)

That's great

However, I'm not sure my caring and compassionate partner (my wife!) will continue to be so caring or compassionate IF I buy a new turbo (right now). :-{}

We just got our new Pacbrake installed and will be getting custom Di-Pricol gauges from Diesel Power Products when their next shipment comes in. Then, it's on to the BHAF and exhaust.

I just don't think I can get my sweet darlin' to understand my "need" for a five inch turbo!!! ;)

Guess I'll have to stick to a small downpipe. :(

Mark the new 5" turbo is in the garage and the pieces are being fabed as quik is I can!!!:D

SLewis, I would give Mario a call in Oregon and ask for the prices you see. You always have to ask for a break when buying parts, you will be suprised at what you can get.

:D

As this thread may be more than SIX years old, I wanna get a 5inch pipe as much as I can get 5inch ! Turbo, Just wanna know who may have one set up ready to go, no playing around and fabricating...
