5" Exhaust and Air Filter

I just last week bought an 05 truck and got th BDDL w/ outlook put on a 5" exhaust and am supposed to have tons of power. It does run good but the 02 Duramax I had I think would smoke it. I Road raced it against a lot of different cars, trucks, etc and was only beaten 2 times. Once by a cobra in disguise and another Duramax. I havent installed a High flow air filter yet and was wondering if the stock air filter would hold it back that much. I did take a rotary cutter and cut the front side out of the OEM air box. This is my first post so if i am in the wrong place or something just let me know.



I put a 5" exhaust on and I hate it, it is so loud in the cab when you pull out or drive 80mph and above. Between 50 and 75 it is pretty quiet. Any suggestions? I asked the guy I bought it from if it would make any diff in performance and he said I would have to have a stopwatch to tell the difference. The only reason I got one is to keep my EGTS down. .



Any help on any of this will be greatly appreciated...

I had some drone with my 4 inch over 80mph. I then switched to a single turnout stack - passenger side, lower than roof height. I can now go as fast as I want with no drone. You can definitely hear it but there is no drone. It's even welded to the bed.
