just installed 5 inch straight pipe, truck runs cooler, cools down sooner, sounds great, just a little drone at 2100rpm, has not been on long enough to test mpg, but spools sooner :) :) :) Oo.

Does your tailpipe stick straight out or turn down? I have found that turning it back and down will help the incab noise. View my signature and click on "MBRP 5" exhaust" I have more photos on installation. Being turned down also gets your dirty exhaust off the side of what you are towing.

tail goes straight out right at the corner of bed just in front of the bumper, digital cam took a crap or i would post pics

why would that even matter... i know i dont have enough motor for a 5" but thats what i want so thats what ill get. . :)

Mr. JH

You are probably right. I would say that I like the tone a little better. I have often said that the factory 4" with a high flow muffler is the best deal. If you are going with a new exhaust 5" would be the best. Simply going from 4" factory to a 4" aftermarket is a waste of cash. 5" may be a waste.

Starting out, the muffler delete pipe is the best bang for the buck out there. The cat is all the muffler you need. Having said all that, next year I will most likely upgrade to a 5" system.

not enough motor yet... ... ..... things still to come i like to do an upgrade and drive a while... you know to save my pennies for the next one hmmmmmmmmmm i see fire rings and twins in my trucks future :-laf

Put a 5" straight on my truck yesterday and love the sound. Probably going to have to put the cat back on to take the drone out of it. Happens round 2100 rpm but is gone around 2300.
