S6112AL, S6114AL, S6116AL, S6118AL are the new part numbers posted at the MBRP website for the NEW 5" exhaust systems. Their T-304 stainless, with the hangers welded on to slip right into the existing factory isolators. A lot of people have MBRP 4" systems and even more have MBRP replacement mufflers. I haven't heard anyone complain about their systems. http://www.mbrp.com/main.php?5inch
T-304 is the best exhaust material used these days.
Cheers

Has anyone heard anything about MBRP 5" exhaust? I saw it in ad in DieselPower this month.

I just sold a system to a customer for him to install and he loves it! Nice and deep and almost no drone at all. Thats on a 2000 with a HRVP44 and RV 275 injectors. He says he couldn't be happier!

I am running that exhaust on my 06. It sounds like a big rig. It also lowered my egts about 150 degrees. It is a nice kit.

Okay you got my attention. Did your cat run away? I see they have a cat back and a turbo back model. That muffler doesn't look very muffled. :D

In my opinion cats belong in the zoo not on diesel trucks. Mine is history. The exhaust sounds great, it has the deep base at low rpm's and the loud roar from 2300 - 3000 rpm. It sounds wicked at idle too. I have the 6'' stainless tip and it really stands out.

i've installed a few on customer trucks as well, it sounds better than any other exhaust that i have heard, and i also saw a egt drop over the 4" mbrp!! Oo. they definatly sound like big rigs now :-laf

My main concern is droaning, Id hate to spend all that money then have to take it all back off to put a resonator in. So if/when I do this system, should I slap a resonator on also?

From what I've heard, the turbo back still has a 4" downpipe, is that correct?

When are they coming out with a true 5" turbo-back?

Cats belong on a litter box or a gasser (same thing)! I bought this truck in March and I already have over 8k miles so my warranty station will open sometime this year. I had a bombed 2001 24V with a straight pipe and it sounded like a Mack Truck, loved it! Thanks for the feedback, my Christmas list is growing.

OK. Opinions on the sound difference between the cool duals and the 5"? I've got 4" with a resonater now. It was ok. Tried the straight pipe. It was to obnoxious pulling the trailer. Thanks, RC.
