5" muffler

Anyone know of a good QUIET 5" in/out muffler that flows well? I am trying to get my truck on the quiet side, and the Flo Pro muffler drones something awful on the highway, and is a little raspy when I get on it. I was thinking a Walker BTM(big truck muffler), or something along those lines. I would like a baffled muffler, about 30 or so inches long.

I've got a nearly new 5" magnaflow stainless muffler that I took off my truck because it was just too quiet. I think it's 24 or 26" long. If this is what you're after, I'll make you a deal.

MBRP has a spiral core louvered packed one that does a nice job. The problem with the one you have is it is a hollow can with no packing materials etc. The MBRP is 30 inches long with a 24 inch can size, slip joints on each end!

I have been running a muffler from a kenworth truck it is nice and quiet and it seems to flow well and it did not change any numbers on the dyno.

I believe the part number is m10682 and it is 5" in and out.

Are you comparing the dyno result from your stock system?

Yes but... it has an awful drone on the highway so don't try a 51" Donaldson Silent Partner muffler. There 51" M090544 is more quiet but is 4" in and out.

Thats impressive, how quiet is it?

By that I mean is it noticeably much louder than stock but seems quiet compared to your straight pipe?

Yes that looks like the right muffler.



It is louder than stock but not a whole lot, it does have a tough sound to it with almost no interior drone.



I believe the length on it is about 48 inches long and about 10 inches around.
