TWINS what do you think

gaggle of connection rods and heads.

I run a couple older 855's in my shrimp boat. I need new mufflers, the ones I have are rusting out, they're 15 or so years old, They're protected from most weather, but it's humid and rain does get down the outer stack cover. The ones I have are oval, about 36" long, 5" inlet and outlet. The oval is about 15" x 10". The inlet and outlet are offset on opposite ends. These are very quiet, I like them alot. I had to replace one last year mid-season, got a tube type, and don't like it at all. Anyone got an online source for mufflers like this ? I tried a number of google searches, did find United Muffler, I think it is, they seem to have something similar. I haven't been checking in on TDR very much because ( knock on wood ) my 2003 truck is running well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks- Steve

Also check with Nelson. We get them for our fire trucks from a local parts store that can order them. Also check any truck and equipment parts supplier.

Donaldson and Nelson (now Fleetguard) are very good products and any truck dealer or aftermarket parts store can get them as Hoefler mentions for you as a rule.

Just make sure that they are a direct dealer for the product, otherwise you will pay more mark-up as a non-affiliate has to buy them from a direct dealer, then add mark-up to sell to you. A lot of people are not aware of this.

I could not match your length exactly, I can give it a shot tomorrow using a Nelson muffler catalog so you can have some more numbers to search for if you want.

Mike. :)
